Mary Tafoya

from Kewa (formerly known as Santo Domingo) Pueblo, grew up helping her parents construct traditional heishi and "Depression Era" Thunderbird necklaces. Building on the skills she acquired from her parents she designs contemporary, mosaic inlay jewelry. She uses colorful natural stones and shells to design unique pieces that are always fresh and modern. Her award winning work has been shown internationally as well as featured at the SWAIA Indian Market.
